Description
Virali Naatu Manjal is a native variety of Turmeric grown in Chinatharampuram and Erode districts of Tamil Nadu. This is variety of turmeric is know for strong aroma and thick yellow color. This a one of the drought and disease tolerant native turmeric variety. Though many farmers have shifted to other hybrid varieties of turmeric, still few farmers and seed savers conserve this native turmeric variety of Erode.
