Description
Kuppaimeni Thailam
A time-honoured Siddha first-aid oil — gently brewed on our farm with cold-pressed coconut & sesame oils, infused with wild-grown Kuppaimeni and Tridax leaves to soothe, calm and heal the skin.
A Living Tradition
The grandmother’s first-aid kit
In Tamil households for generations, a small bottle of Kuppaimeni Thailam has lived beside the kitchen — reached for when a child scraped a knee, when a rash appeared, or when an insect bite refused to settle. We brew ours the slow way: leaves harvested at sunrise, simmered patiently in cold-pressed oils, strained through cloth, never rushed.
Kuppaimeni grows wild along Tamil pathways and is one of the most quietly powerful plants in our Siddha tradition — a herb our great-grandmothers trusted long before pharmacy shelves existed. — From the Manvasanai farm journal
Four Ingredients · Nothing Else
The healing botanicals
Every drop carries the integrity of four whole-plant ingredients — grown the natural way under permaculture, pressed cold, brewed slowly. No fragrance, no preservatives, no fillers.
Kuppaimeni Leaf
Acalypha indica · குப்பைமேனி
The hero of this oil. Long valued in Siddha medicine for calming inflamed, itchy skin and for its natural antimicrobial action — traditionally used for eczema, scabies, ringworm and stubborn rashes.
Anti-itch · AntimicrobialTridax Leaf
Tridax procumbens · வெட்டுக்காய பூண்டு
A folk wound-healer known across Tamil villages — the leaf famously pressed onto fresh cuts to slow bleeding. Its compounds are credited with supporting faster tissue repair and reducing inflammation around wounds.
Wound healing · Anti-inflammatoryCold-Pressed Coconut Oil
Cocos nucifera · தேங்காய் எண்ணெய்
Pressed gently from sun-dried coconuts grown on partner farms. A naturally moisturising and antimicrobial carrier that helps the herbal goodness absorb deep into the skin.
Moisturising · Carrier oilCold-Pressed Sesame Oil
Sesamum indicum · நல்லெண்ணெய்
The foundational oil of Siddha and Ayurveda — prized for penetrating deeply, calming inflammation, and gently warming the tissues it touches. Our sesame is wood-pressed in slow, small batches.
Penetrating · SoothingWhen To Reach For It
Keep one in your first-aid drawer
A simple, gentle oil to have on hand for the small everyday skin troubles your family meets.
