Description

Citronella, also known as Cymbopogon nardus, is also a native tropical grass of Asia. Citronella is closely related to lemongrass in its appearance and scent. Citronella has a great strong, lemony scent and is very commonly used in perfumes and for making other scented products.

It is also commonly used in skincare and hair care products. It is rich in health-related properties that can improve the quality and health of your skin. Citronella cannot be used in cooking.

Citronella plant leaves have red base stems which means they are red or magenta in color at the base of the plants. Lemongrass is green-like in color at the base. Lemongrass can reach a height of up to two feet tall, whereas citronella grass can grow up to six feet tall. Both the plants’ leaves spread up to four feet wide. Citronella has an extensive root system as compared to Lemongrass.
